Have seen the Grasscutters with Joe Brown previously. Saw them last night with their own gig at Cromer. Brilliant and worth seeing again and again. Everything was thrown into the mix, from At the Hop through to Dance Like Jagger all with a bluegrass twist. Very entertaining with time passing too quickly.

Saw you backing Joe Brown at Kings Lynn – excellent evening – we enjoyed your versions of Good Vibrations and Voodoo Child. You came out after the show and said you were playing Cromer Pier, so we immediately booked and were not dissappointed. The combination of music and banter made for a really enjoyable evening. Your musical interpretation was superb, the use of banjo, mandolin etc just makes the music come alive, particularly in a small venue. We will definitely come and see you again, and have already recommended you to our friends.

    Thanks for a terrific evening.

Well done guys, we have just enjoyed an absolutely superb evening of high quality music at Surrey’s best kept secret venue, the Farncombe Music Club. We have seen you backing He Who Must Not Be Named a couple of times in the last few years and greatly enjoyed the section in the show where you played some of your music while He went off for a cup of tea, presumably. Just loved the marriage of tunes virtually all of us know with a totally different way of presenting them. Your playing was topnotch as was the banter between the songs, you obviously enjoy what you’re doing and this easily pulled the audience into the whole show. All songs were a high point, we won’t be able to see Kylie ever again without thinking Phil could be a damn good replacement, also what an outstandingly sublime version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. We urge anybody anyone who enjoys good music superbly played to support The Newgrass Cutters at every available opportunity!
